Larry A. Lee, my boyfriend gave me a book to read 10 years ago Where's Joe Merchant by Jimmy Buffett. I read a chapter, put it away, read 8 months later, book down. I picked up your book and read 90 pages until it was 3am and I realized I had to sleep. I could not put it down until I had to. Reading more tonight. Didn't realize what you went through. Thank you for sharing what I've read so far. That had to be hard.
Heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time! I went to middle school with a Larry. It is amazing what you don’t know about people when you are that age and the amount of suffering they are going thru. Highly recommend this wonderful book, looking forward to more of Larry’s writings!
Absolutely amazing story! The battles that Larry faced starting as a small child through adulthood are beyond what 99% of the population has experienced. Larry overcame many obstacles to be part of an small family of fire professionals that manage large, complex incidents throughout the United States. Powerful book, shows what faith and determination can do.
Admittedly, I’m going to be a little biased over my father’s book. I always knew my father had a story to share and I am glad he is now able to share it with the world. In this you will discover the trials my father faced at such a young age and the fact that he endured and succeeded is an inspiration to any who reads his book.
‘Out of the Field’ is the story of Larry A. Lee’s life, through all his tragedies and triumphs. Larry’s voice comes through strong in his memoir as he recounts his many trying times growing up in Connecticut and throughout his life. This book is incredibly moving and was a joy to read. This book proves that you can overcome any obstacle and become the person you want to be. A great read that everyone will love.
